Codename: Meeting St IPA
The Codename Series is a line of mysterious R&D beers. They arrive in taprooms under cover of darkness. Proceed to try on multiple disguises as their recipes are perfected. Then emerge into the bright lights (i.e. distribution) when their Small Batch mission is complete.
The first in the series is Codename: Meeting St IPA. So what’s significant about Meeting Street? Well, we can tell you Meeting Street is located in Charleston. Meeting Street intersects with Huger Street. Huger Street happens to be the home address of Catawba’s sister brewery, Palmetto. But that’s all you’ll get out of us. Now put on your codebreaker hat, and take it from here.
Codename: Meeting St is a “No Coast” American IPA brewed with a malt bill of wheat and oats and double dry-hopped with Citra and Cascade. Leading with big citrus notes (grapefruit, orange peel) and a soft mouthfeel, it finishes with a touch more bitterness than you’d expect from a typical East Coast juice bomb. Smooth, dry, and dangerously crushable at 6.8% ABV.
