Codename: Revenant Session White Ale

The Codename Series is a line of mysterious R&D beers. They arrive in taprooms under cover of darkness. Proceed to try on multiple disguises as their recipes are perfected. Then emerge into the bright lights (i.e. distribution) when their Small Batch mission is complete.

The 4th in the series is Codename: Revenant Session White Ale. We’re told the clue for this one is set to beginner level if you’re familiar with the word “revenant”. Or if you have access to a dictionary. (Revenant: A person who has returned from the dead.) As always, put on your codebreaker hat, and revisit your unsolved beer files at a future date to see whether your hunch was correct.

Codename: Revenant Session is brewed according to the Belgian Witbier tradition of using unmalted wheat to create a light body and white sheen. Additions of coriander and orange peel give it a fruity, spicy character, while the hops are subtle and lightly detected. Weighing in at only 100 calories, this Light White Ale is perfect for the active-lifestyle, health-conscious, on-the-go beer drinker.
