Tangible Colours: Cherry Sour IPA
This inspired marriage of beer styles starts with a Hazy IPA base, fermented with our house Cloud Cover yeast strain for maximum juice, then dry-hopped heavily with Amarillo, Pacific Jade, and Citra.
A separate tank was filled with a crushable tart wheat ale, soured in the kettle with lactobacillus, and lightly hopped with more Pacific Jade in the whirlpool.
The two delicious liquids were then blended together, dry-hopped again, and rested on 168 lbs of tart cherries completing this alchemy of flavor with layers of ripe mango, apricot, papaya, and Mandarin orange with a burst of sour cherry gummies.
The result is a mash-up of everything we love in a modern IPA: It’s tart, sweet, hazy, hoppy, fruity, and juicy — all in one irresistible pint of Cherry Sour IPA.
